Litebay is a website where you can download torrents. The site specializes on displaying torrents based on their popularity, the more seeds and leechers, the faster you will receive your data. Most common torrent sites will base this on either leechers OR seeders, which is not exactly the proper way to estimate how much faster you will receive it. Litebay bases the sorting upon a total of the seeders and leechers, which gives you the true popularity level of the torrent.
Example :
- torrent #1 with 20 seeders and 80 leechers
- torrent #2 with 30 seeders and 20 leechers
- a site based on leechers will show torrent #1 as a more popular torrent (80).
- a site based on seeders will show torrent #2 as a more popular torrent (30).
- Litebay will show #1 as a more popular torrent (100).
Some other nicer small features of Litebay include :
- Xmlhttp search count responses upon each character typed to let you know faster whether or not the torrent exists before you wait on a new page to refresh.
- Using the Levenshtein formula, when viewing a torrent we will also display any closely related torrents w/ a similar title.
- The comments and forum are closely monitored for any questions involving installation problems, invalid torrents that need to be removed, etc.
